I agree that telling personal stories of victimhood--not to blame but to stand in one's truth and illuminate the complexity and darkness of the world--is the way to go. It's about "speaking for yourself" and inviting others to listen and engage. Personal stories told this way elicit empathy and are much more effective than cold facts and figures when it comes to changing minds (Democrats need to learn that!).
And thanks for introducing Amy Martin. Her stories are captivating and help us understanding the bigger picture.
